Hats really are a must have accessory, they add the perfect finishing touch to just about any outfit and can often pull a whole look together. We’re not alone in this thought either, we’re delighted so say that some of our favourite celebrities and notable people are often spotted wearing our hats – and looking incredibly stylish at that.
In this blog we look at some of the famous hats from Hicks & Brown seen upon the heads of royalty, reality TV stars and everyone in between.
1. The Princess of Wales
The Princess of Wales is well known for her enviable collection of hats. She has been spotted wearing a variety of styles from fascinators to pillboxes and even our very own Suffolk Fedora. We were incredibly honoured and proud when we saw her wearing it to church at Sandringham in 2020 and at a later date during a beautiful video to mark her 10 year wedding anniversary. She has been seen wearing our Suffolk Fedora in brown more recently when in Balmoral.
2. The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie Wessex
We’re delighted that another member of the royal family, The Countess of Wessex also shares a love for our hats. Spotted wearing the Suffolk Fedora in camel on a multiple occasions including at Royal Windsor Horse Show and to chilly Christmas church services, The Duchess shows us all that it’s easy to be stylish and warm with her famous hat.
3. Leonna Mayor
TV presenter for Sky Sports Racing and former flat jockey Leonna Mayor is no stranger to donning a Hicks & Brown hat. She was last seen wearing our much-loved Suffolk Fedora at Sandown Park Racecourse in February 2022.
4. Lucy Verasamy
Lucy Verasamy is a British weather forecaster and presenter for ITV. At Cheltenham Races in 2018 she was spotted wearing our Melford Trilby. In September 2021 she also wore our summer Aldeburgh Fedora whilst filming for M&S Fresh Market Update with chef Chris Baber, which she paired with a t-shirt for a simple, yet stylish look.
5. Alex Hammond
British TV presenter for Sky Sports Racing and country girl at heart, Alex Hammond, is another lover of our Suffolk Fedora. Alex was seen looking incredible in her Fedora at Cheltenham Races in 2017.
6. Vanessa Ryle
Vanessa is best known for her work as a racing presenter for both Sky Sports and At The Races. We were honoured to have seen her wearing our famous Suffolk Fedora hat in 2022 at the most recent Cheltenham Festival.
7. Binky Felstead
Of Made in Chelsea fame, Binky Felstead is yet another celebrity to have been seen in one of our most famous hats, the Suffolk Fedora. She was first spotted wearing the iconic hat with feather wrap in 2016.
8. Laura Wright
Laura Wright is an English soprano and a classical-popular crossover singer. We were delighted to see her wearing our Pillbox hat at Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National recently.
9. Georgia Toffolo
Better known as Toff, Georgia Toffolo is a British media and television personality that rose to fame after appearing on Made in Chelsea. The star was spotted wearing our Suffolk Fedora hat at Cheltenham Festival in March of 2018 which she paired with a flattering check jacket for an elegant country-inspired look.
10. Samantha Faiers
British reality TV star, model and entrepreneur, Samantha Faiers is best known for starring in The Only Way of Essex. During September 2021 she was seen wearing several of our summer styles in muted cream and natural colours.
11. Carole Middleton
Carole Middleton is an English businesswoman and mother to the Duchess of Cambridge. It would seem she shares similar impeccable taste to her daughter as she too was spotted wearing our Suffolk Fedora on Christmas Day at Sandringham in recent years.
12. @scottisheventer
Influencer and amateur eventer, @scottisheventer is often seen sporting items from our collection. From our Baker Boy to our Brantham hats, the social media star always styles her famous hats with effortless country outfits which look at home against the Scottish backdrop of her home country.
